OptoLoc is currently funded by the Medical Research Council and Scottish Enterprise, with total non dilutional investment of over £2M.

We are approaching first-in-human demonstration of our technology in an initial clinical study.

We are developing commercial routes forward to move to wide impact.

This work is currently funded as an academic collaboration between Heriot-Watt University, University of Edinburgh, and NHS Lothian. Principle Investigator Michael Tanner, Co-Investigators: Tom Craven (Clincal Lead), Kev Dhaliwal, Robert Thomson.

This work is further supported by a large team, including commercial support from Heriot-Watt GRID, external commercial lead David McMahon, and translational support for clinical demonstration at the University of Edinburgh through the expansive Translational Healthcare Technology team (including Bea Selby, Aysha Ali, Jo Mair, Kieran Burgess, Katie Hamilton, Lewis Bain, Paul Fineran and the wider team).
